We were all the porch together. Sox and Miss Kitty were face to face
sniffing each other and then Sox licked her – LOLOL!
Earlier Sox kept bowing to Miss Kitty, being very gentle, and I had to laugh
I said,"Sox, honey, I don’t think she speaks dog."

Hi Dave
=A0
I have been following your story and I applaud you for taking Eddie to the =
behaviourist. I think if you work with Eddie and regain your alpha position=
through bonding exercises and taking on the alpha responsibilities that Ed=
die can be helped.

Sox has bonded well with both my husband and me. She does respond to my
husband and obeys him well, but her preference is to be with me most of the
time. Sometimes when we’re in the living room, she’ll lay between us but
most of the time she’s laying by my feet.
I am [...]

Hi Mary,
It can be given by both. Look for individual dog trainers who are AKC-certified for giving the test. You can find them on the AKC website.
Also check with local shelters and boarding facilities that offer training.
In my case, my dog trainer (who also happens to work at the local [...]

I brought out Sox’s breakfast this morning. She was happy to see the food -
lol. I didn’t say anything to her – just looked at her – and she plopped
that little black butt on the ground quicker than you can say "scat" – LOL!

I just did a search trying to find when and where the test is in my area but
nothing came up. Is it given by individuals or by organizations? How often
is it given? I’m trying to get a time frame.
Thanks so much!

Nenah,
Your girl sounds a a lot like my boy, Streak. He is a very submissive
greyhound that rolls over to show you his belly all the time. He
isn’t shy at all though and is very outgoing, just extremely
submissive. He has been the BEST dog!! He is so [...]

Hi Harriet…Thank you for that input…my vet also mentioned Prozac…They had me on anti-depressants after my accident and that is when I almost "pulled the trigger"…I don’t like that stuff…Time for an update…I had the worst night in my life that Thursday night, I went to bed with the decision to have [...]

Depends on the type of excitement. IF fear of strange=
rs (Australian Bush Flower essences, Emergency might be helpful)
But there are different types of excitement. General excitement might mean=
a different diet for instance (no grains less carbs can help with that) so=
me use Turkey to great effect for this (Raw meaty bone diet) [...]

Audra, glad it seems to be going well with the new trainer. Just one thing, though…. I don’t get (at all) the part about him saying to buy from a good breeder! It’s my understanding that ANY dog can have behavior problems. And, so this guy doesn’t believe in rescuing dogs?
